Common Questions About Hiring Our Gypsy Jazz Band in Provence

We specialize in gypsy jazz and swing performances for weddings, cocktail hours, private receptions, corporate evenings and other events in Aix-en-Provence, Provence, the French Riviera and internationally. Our goal is to provide a memorable and unique musical experience.

The Gala Swing Quartet is a gypsy jazz and swing band based in Aix-en-Provence, formed in 2012. It performs as a quartet (four musicians) and has played over a hundred weddings as well as many private events and festivals.

We are based in Aix-en-Provence and play throughout Provence and the French Riviera, as well as elsewhere in France and internationally on request. We have performed at many estates and châteaux in the region, and on tour abroad.

The cocktail hour is the ideal moment: guests are standing, chatting and moving around, and gypsy jazz creates an elegant, friendly atmosphere. We advise against live music during the seated meal, as it gets in the way of conversation.

An electrical outlet within 20 meters and four armless chairs are required for our setup. We offer options with self-contained amplification for venues without electricity access. Our technical rider can be downloaded from the site.

Setup typically takes 30 minutes and dismantling 20 minutes, allowing for a quick and efficient transition to avoid disrupting the flow of your event.

You can contact us directly to discuss the specifics of your event, check our availability, and get a detailed, free quote. We are reachable by email (contact@galaswingquartet.fr), by phone, or through the website contact form.

Yes. We regularly work with reception venues, hotels, wedding planners and companies. A dedicated page for professionals gathers our technical rider, references and contact details.
